Give your taste buds a treat at Twisted Roots Bakery! Since 2018, we’ve been keeping the amazing people of Florence, SC well-fed and happy with our scrumptious  vegan baked goods. Our creations and signature products are sure to exceed all of your expectations.

We believe in the value of homemade, excellent quality, hand-crafted, baked goods. Not only do they warm the home, but our baked goods will definitely warm the heart. Our favorite time of day is when our first batch comes out of the oven, and the sugary smells fill the kitchen.

We value locally grown, fresh ingredients, and pride ourselves on taking traditional recipes and making them vegan or vegan/gluten-free. We like to keep it simple and emphasize taste over flash. We start with the basic baking ingredients but use quality, organic, NON-GMO and locally sourced whenever possible.  Let us ease your baking woes & customize something amazing for you!

Your baker, Vanessa, is vegan/gluten-free and does extensive research to find out if a product is considered vegan and/or gluten-free. She even reaches out to companies to confirm ingredients. In addition to baking, Vanessa is a homeschooling mom to 3 intelligent kiddos. She also serves as a Girl Scout leader for her daughters' troop. She stays busy and loves everything she does and does it all with a smile (most days).

This home-based bakery idea was born out of necessity because of Vanessa's youngest child's food allergies and then discovery of her own food intolerances. Eventually the whole family adopted a plant-based lifestyle and haven't looked back.
